The mission of the Public Awareness & Education Task Force is to provide information to the general public about child abuse (and related issues) and its prevention. The Task Force plans specific activities on an annual basis including April's Child Abuse Awareness Month activities, the Shaken Baby Awareness Campaign activities and ongoing special topics/speakers at monthly CCAT meetings. The Task Force takes part in community events, fairs, etc. by hosting information tables and/or providing speakers on topics related to child abuse prevention. To join this Task Force, have CCAT represented at a community event, or speak to a community/educational group contact the CCAT Coordinator.

The Task Force meets on an "as needed" basis.
